The United Way of Van Wert County was established in 1922 to “increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another”. For 99 years, the United Way of Van Wert County has been caring for those in our community who may be less fortunate. Our campaign theme this year is “Neighborhood of Good” and our 2021-22 campaign video shows how no matter what the situation might be, we have an agency or program for you. Our campaign goal is set at $500,000 and was established by the 2021-22 Campaign Chair, Jacob Hamman. With the success of last year’s campaign, we are confident that the Van Wert community has the heart to make this goal happen yet again, this year. We have been leading the way with our programs and agencies that have supported the hard times. Every donation is one step closer to giving our 30 agencies the funding that is necessary for them to provide for those in need in our community.
Last year, the United Way kicked things off with Yard Sign sales which brought in a little over $5000. Because it was such a great turn-out, we have decided to sell them again this year. Our Community Partner is Tisha Fast – State Farm Agent. Tisha is a United Way board member and very involved in her community. When you agree to become a Community Partner with the United Way, you are allowing your business involvement at events and fundraisers throughout the campaign year. You can purchase your $25.00 – yard sign today and join the Neighborhood of Good by clicking on this link now: https://www.classy.org/campaign/2021-united-way-yard-signs/c350566
