The United Way of Van Wert County allots funds called Community Impact Funding that is to be allocated to qualified applicants each year. Recently, Van Wert Schools at the Goedde applied for and was granted $2,000 to help in the travel of staff members to a training conference. The conference will help teach strategies related to trauma-informed teaching, culturally responsive and learning loss of at risk students. The staff should bring back valuable tools and resources to provide students with more strategies and support in their learning needs.
